We went there on Sun. morning about 10:30, waited less than 30 minutes but the food was well worth the wait. Eggs Benedict and Michael eggs were outstanding! Kids ordered French toast and eggs, bacon & hashbrowns. They didn't care for the hashbrowns but loved the rest. Service was excellent! Fast turn-over helps cut down on the wait. Loved the variety of breakfast selections! Coffee was fresh but I would have loved either flavored coffee or flavored creamer.

One of my family's favorite breakfast places. We always expect to wait if we go on Saturday or Sunday mornings, but there is a large porch out front and our children love to run up and down and look at the neighboring businesses!
We all love the food- we've only eaten the pancakes and waffles, but they are well worth the wait!

My wife and I loved this place - however, we tended to get the meat breakfasts rather than just the pancakes (who orders a vegetarian omelette in Texas, by the way???). They have outstanding and unobtrusive service (although not as ever-present as for instance IHOP), it's a place with a nice local feel and a good atmosphere, and even on a Saturday morning the wait to get a table isn't completely unacceptable. Sundays right after church isn't a good time to call though - that goes for any good eatery in the DFW area, it's better to use that time to look which places have huge lines outside of them and then return on a different day ;)
The OPH has a pretty varied menu if you're into hearty breakfasts with meat, sausage, bacon & eggs plus the usual pancakes. I thought the pancakes were better than IHOP's, and the steaks were good too. I miss it and it's one of the foru or five restaurants in DFW that I'd return to should I ever be back there.

I have to disagree with the other reviewers. Yes, there was a bit of a wait, but we went on a Saturday morning with all of the other pancake-seeking Plano natives. Duh... if you don't want to wait for pancakes, go on a Wednesday in September. I loved the pancakes. They were very well cooked, not too dry and they kept the coffee flowing for me. I first visited the Pancake House with my husband when we were in town visiting some friends and I can't wait to go back. Good family atmosphere, free newspapers (mmmm Dallas Morning News) and great food.

We arrived for breakfast on Sunday at 11:00 am and were seated about a half hour later at a very uncomfortable booth with no leg room. We were very hungry and expected this to be a great breakfast. We were so disappointed in the food and the service. After placing our order we patiently waited 40 minutes for our food. The Georgia pecan pancakes I ordered were small (6 of them), some with pieces of pecan shell in them at a $1 each. My husband ordered the veggie omelette at $7.50 that was very bland, no flavor -- they add no salt or spices and the hash browns were not done! Even adding salt and pepper and a little picante did not make it any better. The orange juice was bitter (at $2.75 a glass). Let me say this --breakfast for 2 should not cost over $20!!!! (before tip). We'll be going back to Denny's from now on.

This is a specialty pancake place. When I came, it was crowded with many hungry people. I ordered 3 chocolate pancakes and some juice. When they came out, they looked pretty good, but when I ate them, the chocolate was dark and very very bitter. On the menu, it said sweet milk chocolate. To counter that taste, I had to put a lot of syrup on the pancakes. They tasted a little better. Next time, I am going to order something with out chocolate!
