Warm Cointreau Grapefruits
(2 servings) Printable Version
- 2 large grapefruits
- 2 teaspoon Cointreau
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Cut each grapefruit in half. Then cut a sliver of rind from the bottom of each half so they will stand upright.
Place grapefruit on an oven proof tray and sprinkle with Cointreau. Mix sugar with nutmeg and sprinkle over grapefruit. Bake for about 5 minutes until lightly brown.
This is especially good when served warm with a couple Tablespoons of yogurt on top.

This was great. I always buy grapefruits and never seem to be in the mood for them at breakfast. So we made this for a late-evening snack. It was wonderful and felt like a dessert. If only all my desserts were this healthy. Thanks for the recipe and terrific web site.
