Fruit And Rice Cereal
(2 servings) Printable Version
- 1 cup quick-cooking brown rice
- 2/4 cup lowfat milk (soy milk works)
- 1/3 cup mixed dried fruit bits (raisins work okay)
- 3 Tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- a dash of ground nutmeg
Cover and simmer 12 to 14 minutes or until the rice is tender and liquid is nearly all absorbed. Stir in milk and nutmeg.
Serve with brown sugar.
I like this better than oatmeal. Wanna come over to my house and try it Mr. Breakfast?

Good, but took some getting used to. I'd have it again but I prefer oatmeal.

I like this better than oatmeal. It's a little like rice pudding for breakfast but with lots of good stuff.
