Canadian Flapjacks
(4 servings) Printable Version
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 and 1/2 cup apple juice or milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 Tablespoons oil
- 1 medium apple - grated
Note: To make these Canadian Flapjacks truly Canadian, consider using an apple variety that's native to Canada like a McIntosh, Cortland, Ambrosia or Spartan apple.
These pancakes have grated apple and optional apple juice for a fast, fruity and fun breakfast.

Easy and good... I used 1 cup milk and 1/2 cup apple juice, plus a pinch of cinnamon.

This is now a staple at our house. A very flexible and yummy recipe. Good with butter, jam, or just about anything really. The grated apple gives it a great texture.

I used milk and grated apple. I thought if I used apple juice that it would be too much apple flavor. This way turned out great.
