
Orange Apricot Oatmeal
(2 servings) Printable Version
- 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 2 Tablespoons chopped dried apricots
- 1 and 1/4 cups cold water
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- pinch of salt
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 2 Tablespoons chopped walnuts or pecans
Bring to a boil.
Cover and reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Let sit for 5 minutes.
Pour into serving bowls. Gently stir/swirl in remaining ingredients leaving golden brown swirl pattern in bowl for presentation.

Forget those instant packets. In about 10 minutes, you can have a delicious, deluxe oatmeal made from scratch.
