Simple French Toast

- 6 eggs
- 12 slices bread
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Love it. We top ours with powdered sugar. Makes it pretty and yummy too!

I let my bread soak in the egg mixture for about 3-5 minutes, until it gets good and soggy. This gives you a plumper toast and adds a great texture.

TOAST IT GOOD. Play with pan Temps. Yellow french toast is no where near as good as a nice brown french toast. Restaurants pull the toast off way to early. Tell them to do it well done and they might get it just right.

When I make my french toast, I add nutmeg instead of cinnamon and I too use the Texas Toast bread. Then I top it with real maple syrup... mmmm good!

I don't use vanilla in my recipe but I found the best french toast is made with Texas toast its nice and thick so it don't get soggy.

If you ask me, this is the ONLY good french toast recipe that takes about 1/2 hour to make. It''s awesome! Very simple, VERY good.
