According to the back of the introductory box, this cereal consists of creamy cashew nut butter, clusters of baked oats and crunchy flakes rolled in nut butter, protein-packed cashews and flakes of coconut. Additional text reads, "Our delicious Nut Butter Cereal powers your day. Serving up equal parts of taste and nutrients, your whole family will go nuts for Nut Butter Cereal."
The first 10 ingredients listed on the nutrition panel are yellow corn flour, corn meal, whole grain rolled oats, cane sugar, sunflower oil, cashew butter, peanut butter, dried coconut, sea salt and honey.
In 2018, Nature's Path introduced 2 other Nut Butter cereals: 1) Almond Nut Butter Crunch and 2) Honey & Peanut Nut Butter Crunch. The company's website described all the cereals like this: "Our NEW Nut Butter cereals are packed with plant protein! Crunchy flakes, baked oats and nuts are combined with nut butter to create this smooth and crunchy cereal."
