Introduced in 2019
On Annie's official website, this cereal is called Organic Friends Cereal, but the name of the cereal on the front of the box is clearly Friends Bunnies cereal which is one of the strangest cereal names of all time. It's described on the front of the introductory box as an "oat, corn & rice cereal (with) cocoa, honey & vanilla with other natural flavors."
The ingredients listed on the nutrition panel are whole grain oats, cane sugar, whole grain corn meal, white rice flour, cocoa powder, expeller-pressed sunflower oil, honey, malted barley flour, tapioca syrup, invert cane syrup, calcium phosphate, molasses, sea salt, baking soda, natural flavor and mixed tocopherols (vitamin E) added to protect flavor.
Annie's official website describes the cereal like this: "Annie’s Organic Friends Cereal is packed with a yummy combination of cocoa, vanilla, and honey flavored bunnies. Made with the goodness you expect from Annie's, our organic breakfast bunnies are perfectly delicious & the hoppiest way to kick off the day. No artificial colors, synthetic colors or high fructose corn syrup here - just spoonfuls of yummy ingredients like Fair Trade Cocoa and organic whole grain oats."
Friends Bunnies cereal appears to be a reformulated version of Annie's Cocoa & Vanilla Bunnies which the company introduced in 2008.
