According to the brand's website, Barbara's Bakery started in 1971 when a 17-year-old girl named Barbara opened a small organic bakery in Northern California. The bakery transformed from a storefront operation to a wholesale business. In 1986, Barbara's Bakery was acquired by the U.K. company Weetabix Limited.Today, Barbara's Bakery offers an assortment of products including cereals, snack bars, crackers, cookies and salty snacks.
The company says it offers the "best-tasting organic and natural products free and clear of artificial preservatives, artificial ingredients, hydrogenated oils, or refined white sugar."
