2 cups rolled oats (real Irish or steel cut outs if available), 2 cups water, 1 cup seasonal berries (blueberries and blackberries work great), 1 cup raisins, 1/3 cup light corn syrup, 1/4 cup brandy, 8 Tablespoons cream, 4 Tablespoons brown sugar, 4 Tablespoons butter, 1/4 teaspoon salt
Savory Miso Oats
"When someone suggested "savory oats" to me, it was a revelation. The recipe was basically the same as above, only with the egg and the soy sauce. The addition of miso paste is my own spin on the recipe, and really adds an incredible, healthy burst of flavor to it. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!"

Sweet Scottish Oatmeal
"This is oatmeal made the hardcore Scottish way. In Scottland, they even use two bowls... one for the oatmeal and one for the milk. You take a spoon of oats then dip it in the milk. Then you get hot and cold temperatures in every bite."
