1 frozen pie crust, 8 ounces pork sausage - browned and drained, 1 cup Southern-style frozen hash brown potatoes - thawed, 1/4 cup sliced green onion, 1/4 cup chopped red or green bell Pepper, 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, 4 eggs, 1/4 cup milk, 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt (like Lowery's), 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
Ham & Grits Crustless Quiche
"This dish is a favorite at the Country Oaks Bed & Breakfast in Mountain View, Arkansas, or as you might know it: The Folk Music Capital of the World! For a tasty variation, try using Italian Sausage in place of ham (saute, drain & crumble well)."
1/2 cup water, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/3 cup quick-cooking grits - uncooked, 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk, 1 and 1/2 cups chopped ham, 1 cup (4 ounces) Cheddar cheese - shredded, 3 eggs, 1 Tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, 1 teaspoon dry mustard, 1 or 2 teaspoons hot sauce
Picante Breakfast Quiche
"I'll eat just about anything in a pie crust, but this South Western flavored dish is one of my favorites. Enjoy!"
1 9-inch frozen pie crust, 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, 2 green onions, 5 slices of bacon, 3 eggs, 1/2 cup Picante sauce (like Pace brand), 1/2 cup half-and-half (milk will work in a pinch)
